Well, that’s it for this season of La Liga. So here are where things stand:

The Basics

La Liga champions: Barcelona (96 points). Congratulations!

La Liga runners-up: Real Madrid (92 points)

Copa del Rey champions: Real Madrid (huzzah!)

2011-12 Champions League: Barcelona, Real Madrid, Valencia, Villarreal

2011-12 Europa League: Sevilla, Athletic Bilbao, Atlético de Madrid

Relegated to Second Division: Almería, Hércules, Deportivo La Coruña (better luck next year boys!)

Pichichi (most goals, awarded by Marca): Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid, 41 goals [40 by FIFA rules])

Zamora (goalkeeper with smallest goals to games ratio, Marca): Víctor Valdés (Barcelona, 0.50)

Miguel Muñoz (best coach, Marca): José Mourinho (Real Madrid)

Zarra (Spanish player with the most goals, Marca): Álvaro Negredo (Sevilla)

Fair Play award (RFEF): Barcelona (95 yellow cards, 1 double yellow, 1 red card)

New Records – Individual

Most goals in a season: Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid, 40). He broke the previous record of 38 in the final match of the season, beating Telmo Zarra (who set it in 1951) and Hugo Sánchez (who tied it in 1990).

Most hat-tricks in a season: Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid, 6). Previous record was only three, which was set by Isidro Lárgana in 1935-36.

New Records – Team

Most away wins in a season: Barcelona, 14

Most consecutive wins: Barcelona, 16

Most away goals in a season: Barcelona, 49
