In the Spain’s first match since becoming world champions, Fernando Torres scored two goals against Liechtenstein, a vast improvement from his less than stellar World Cup performance. The two Davids, Villa and Silva, also scored goals, bringing the score to 4-0. It was no surprise that Spain won this game in the first session of Euro 2012 qualifiers (Liechtenstein is below even Canada in the FIFA World Ranking), but our beautiful boys were aiming to score as many goals as possible, as goal differentials will likely make a difference later on. So 4-0, not too shabby. England also won 4-0 over Bulgaria today, and Netherlands had the highest differential, with 5-o over San Marino. Netherlands is second in the world and San Marino is dead last. Really, they could have done better than that.
